A couple with young children with a newly built thatched villa in Laren asked Wolterinck to design their interior, the furniture and the garden. Amongst Wolterinck’s designs were a symmetrical main lobby and an open flow ground floor that meant you could walk all round it. The children got their own lounge corner and the garden’s striking feature, the pergola-covered sunken seating near the open plan kitchen, unites the interior and exterior beautifully. The garden is typically Wolterinck: green, streamlined and with lines of sight.
