The work of French sculptor Parvine Curie (1936) is rooted in material. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with classic materials such as stone, wood, and bronze, and her non-figural sculptures share the compact substantiality of the materials with which they were made. These architectural works are inspired by Curie’s travels, in particular to historic and sacred places.
